An ongoing Squarespace redesign and migration from WordPress that has grown substantially in scope, features, and complexity over a long production run. The initial design direction was established through branded PDF documents produced by the graphic design team, and the primary challenge was faithfully translating a visually precise print identity to the web so that all physical and digital materials feel cohesive and unified. Over time, a wide range of custom-built features have been layered in: the standout is the Story page, which features a fully custom vertical scroll-triggered horizontal timeline and a persistent anchor link navigation bar across the top — built entirely from scratch using custom JavaScript and CSS. A custom reCAPTCHA integration using a proprietary key was also developed to solve a critical security gap: Bloomerang's native reCAPTCHA on the donation and contact forms was failing to block spam submissions, and the platform itself had no fix. The solution required building one. The site continues to evolve with new pages, features, and campaigns added on an ongoing basis — a long-term partnership that has required growing alongside the project and consistently delivering at a level the platform alone was never designed to reach.
