Kent Design Build

I served as the sole front-end developer and designer for a ground-up website rebuild for Kent Design Build, a leading design-build construction firm serving the Gulf South. Built on Squarespace with extensive custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the site includes a custom loading animation, mega menus, expanding panel sections, dynamic blog carousel sliders, and a fully sector-organized portfolio spanning Commercial, Healthcare, Faith & Community, and Industrial & Warehouse. The portfolio pages feature animated count-up stats blocks, individual project pages include custom-built image sliders with detailed project information and stats, and featured projects have a custom video player I developed specifically for this site — all layered on top of a fully responsive, mobile-optimized layout.

The project pushed me well beyond the technical challenges. Key stakeholders departed mid-way through the build, creating content gaps, delayed approvals, and sudden shifts in direction on everything from navigation structure to portfolio organization to copy — requiring me to rebuild completed sections multiple times as the scope evolved. I managed the entire production pipeline independently, adapting to feedback and pivoting when priorities changed, and ultimately delivered a polished, launch-ready site despite the moving targets I experienced throughout the project.
