Town & Country Furniture
TDC's first-ever Shopify build — and a highly unusual one. The client needed a fully functional e-commerce storefront with all purchasing capability disabled, which runs counter to everything Shopify is designed to do. Disabling native commerce functionality in a clean, seamless way required a deep and deliberate dive into the platform's architecture. In the process, thousands of product images from the old site — varying sizes, formats, and quality levels — were converted and standardized for consistent loading and clean display across Shopify's layout system. A custom lightbox gallery was also built on the wooden product pages, allowing users to browse stain color options — maple, cherry, oak, and others — clicking through different finishes in context. This project served as the foundation for all of my Shopify expertise going forward. It was one-off in nature, but it forced a level of platform mastery that wouldn't have come from a conventional build.
